About the Role

Northern Vehicle Placements is an independently owned used vehicle dealership with onsite reconditioning team in Townsville that has a strong focus on providing expertly reconditioned vehicles to the public at competitive prices. We are looking to expand by adding an Administration Officer/Parts Interpreter to our friendly team. 

This role is flexible for the right candidate:
NVP is seeking someone to handle our busy workshop’s administration duties and support our Reconditioning Coordinator to purchase new and used vehicle parts and supplies.
Commencement date is negotiable, though the role is open for an immediate start.

Your main roles will include the following:

  • Processing invoices,

  • Preparing end of month (EOM) statements, 

  • Entering parts costs and scanning documents into our stock management system,

  • Ordering new and used parts from vehicle parts suppliers over the phone and using online systems, 

  • Allocating all part arrivals to the vehicle they were ordered for,

  • Supporting Reconditioning Coordinator in organising pick-up and delivery of vehicles, parts, accessories, etc. 


Skills and qualities required for the role:

  • Ability to work independently,

  • Mechanical aptitude or experience, especially ordering vehicle parts,

  • Ability to follow instructions from Reconditioning Coordinator and Management staff, 

  • Good communication skills,

  • Good problem identification and resolution skills,

  • Excellent organisational skills,

  • Honest, reliable and hardworking, 

  • High regard for safe work practices and procedures,


Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience with EasyCars, or similar stock management systems, 

  • Open driver’s license,

  • Previous experience with Repco Navigator

  • Previous experience with Bursons EzyParts

  • Previous experience with Napa Pro link

  • Previous experience with Xero
